»Bach is the beginning and end of all music« – it is with this maxim that Max Reger immortalised himself in a friendship album in 1906. And indeed, scarcely any other composer of the Baroque period has had such a creative and diverse reception as Johann Sebastian Bach. Numerous musicians have used his works as a basis for arrangements, adaptations and new creations. On the programme of this organ recital are three arrangements of Bach’s harpsichord works for organ in the Romantic style by Max Reger.
